Forte Circuit

Rover (Havoc) maximizes their damage output when they are in the Dark Surge state. Rover (Havoc)'s Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and even Resonance Skill will be replaced by an enhanced version when entering Dark Surge. As you upgrade Rover (Havoc)'s Forte Circuit, the damage of the abilities mentioned will improve. With this, there is no doubt that this should be the highest priority to upgrade.

Resonance Liberation

Rover (Havoc) big burst damage would come from his Resonance Liberation so upgrade this together with their Forte Circuit. This increases the already ridiculous damage multiplier which can melt even the toughest of enemies in the game.

Normal Attack

Even though Rover (Havoc) will consistently using their Basic Attacks, you will want to use the enhanced versions from their Resonance Liberation instead. You still want to upgrade this, but it is a medium priority when compared to the others.

Resonance Skill

Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill gets replaced by Umbra: Lifetaker when you enter the Dark Surge state, which makes this ability only usable in Rover (Havoc)'s unenhanced state. But, you still need to use Rover (Havoc)'s Resonance Skill to charge their Forte Gauge anyway. So, upgrading this ability should be your next priority when you fully upgraded the ones integral to Rover (Havoc)'s kit.

Intro Skill

There is nothing special about Rover (Havoc)'s Intro Skill as it only deals Havoc DMG to a target when switching in. It is also their weakest ability. So, this ability should be the last one that you need to upgrade.

Forte Circuit

Umbra Eclipse

When “Umbra” is full, hold Basic Attack to cast Devastation to attack the target, dealing Havoc DMG, considered as Heavy Attack damage. After casting Devastation, Rover enters the Dark Surge state where Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and Resonance Skill are replaced with enhanced versions dealing Havoc DMG.

Requirements: Rover can hold up to 100 points of Umbra. Normal Attack Tuneslayer recovers Umbra on hit. Resonance Skills and Intro Skill recover Umbra when cast.

Notes: Focus on maximizing burst damage by using 5-piece Havoc Eclipse sonata effect and Dreamless as the main echo. Use Emerald of Genesis as the primary weapon due to high base ATK and CRIT Rate. Upgrade Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation first for the biggest damage increase, then Resonance Skill and Normal Attack.

A 5-pc Havoc Eclipse is the best Havoc set for a Havoc Main-DPS like Rover-Havoc. Havoc DMG also increases after a Basic Attack or Heavy Attack which is part of their kit.

Havoc Eclipse + Lingering Tunes

2 pieces

You can also opt for a mix of Havoc Eclipse and Lingering Tunes if you have better sub-stats for those pieces. This increases both Havoc DMG and ATK - great for a Havoc DPS like Rover-Havoc.

Recommended Main Echoes

Dreamless

One of the best Havoc echo that deals damage in a huge area. Damage of the Dreamless also increases when used after Rover-Havoc's Resonance Liberation which makes them a perfect pair.

Tambourinist

An early game echo alternative for Havoc-Rover, perfect for just dealing damage when needed. Change to Dreamless after getting a good stat Dreamless echo.

Tips & Tricks

The combination of Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation enables Havoc Rover to be a great burst Main DPS unit overall. Focus on upgrading these first.
After upgrading main burst abilities, improve Resonance Skill and Normal Attacks to increase damage outside Dark Surge state.
Use enhanced versions of attacks in Dark Surge for maximized damage output.
Dreamless echo synergizes very well with Rover's burst combos, increasing area damage significantly.
Consider alternative weapons if substats are more favorable, but Emerald of Genesis remains top choice.

Team Composition

Strategy

Shorekeeper starts the battle and charges her Resonance Liberation alongside the team's Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. Cast her Resonance Liberation once available to set up her Stellarealm.
Once Roccia is fully charged, switch to her. Shorekeeper's Outro Skill will provide Crit buffs and healing while inside the Stellarealm.
Use Roccia's optimal combo to charge her Liberation and Concerto Energy. Finally, switch to the Rover when the Concerto Energy is full to increase the Rover's Havoc and Basic Attack DMG.
Charge the Rover's Forte Circuit gauge so they can enter the Dark Surge state and do their combos. Cast their Resonance Liberation whenever possible.
Switch to Shorekeeper with full Concerto Energy to detonate the Stellarealm for a burst of damage!
Repeat the steps until enemies are defeated.

Notes

This team composition focuses on buffing the Rover's overall damage in battle using Shorekeeper and Roccia's buffs. If Shorekeeper's second Inherent Skill is unlocked, she applies 10% Energy Regen to Rover while her Stellarealm is active. Shorekeeper provides healing and Crit Rate/DMG buffs; Roccia's Outro Skill provides Havoc DMG and Basic Attack DMG Amplification to Rover. Note that this team's damage is drastically reduced against enemies immune to Havoc, such as the Havoc Prism.

Team Composition

Strategy

Sanhua starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until other Resonator's icons glow. She should deal damage using her ice structures.
Once Rover is fully charged, switch to Rover to use their Intro Skill. Switching from Sanhua amplifies Rover's Basic ATK DMG for Dark Surge state.
Continuously attack using Rover's Basic Attack, avoid enemy attacks. When fully charged, use Rover's Resonance Liberation to deal high DMG. If available, follow with Dreamless Echo ability.
Switch to Sanhua again once Concerto Energy is full. Use Baizhi's healing skill if healing is needed.
Repeat until enemies are defeated.

Notes

This free-to-play composition relies on Sanhua to amplify Rover's Basic ATK when Dark Surge is active. The third slot can be Baizhi or Shorekeeper if available.
